Dear Dad,
So, it's been awhile since I've typed up any type of meaningful blog but when I did you were always the first one to comment, I remember you always commenting on the crazy stuff me, Chico and Kique would do on the weekend, wow what good times you've always been a huge part of my life. Well Dad, times have definitely changed Mario is 2 and half years old and such a great kid, it's amazing how sweet and kind he is, I still remember walking out of that operating room and you and mom where standing at the door excited to see Mario for the first time, it was a moment I could never forget...
Well, it's been exactly two years since you've been gone from here to a better place and I have great news to share with you, me an Zariah are expecting identical twin girls! Yep, can you believe that? I am still in a state of shock and really excited, what an amazing feeling to be blessed with 2 new babies, I know it's going to have some bumps but I am more ready than ever before! I know Mario is going to be a great help, he is already really excited and such a great kid.
I have to tell you how Zariah broke the news to me. Well, it was pretty great I must admit she had a ultrasound on Tuesday and asked Mom to go with her, mom was really excited as you can imagine. I wasn't able to make it because the ultrasound was at 4pm and I was on the radio till 8pm. So, I was so excited to know what we were having and wanted to make sure momma and the baby were healthy after an hour went by I called Z no answer, I called mom no answer, I was actually starting to get a lil worried, did something go wrong? Well, a hour goes by and Zariah FINALLY calls me and says she knows the sex of the baby but I have to wait till I get home, NOOOOO!!! I was so upset I wanted to know NOW, LOL. On the ride home I was trying to guess, make her spit it out, I said "it must be a boy because they wouldnt know if it was a girl its still too frikkin early blah blah blah.." She just smiled and said "I wish I would have taken my exam earlier 'cause now there is no way I can focus" She was referring to her exam at UNM. Well, as I sat down and ate some cold pizza Z told me to close my eyes, and so I did. I wanted to peek so bad to see what she was doing, she said open them and before my eyes were 2 presents I opened one up and it was a girls outfit, so I said "wow, a girl huh? I am totally stoked...." then I open the other present and to my surprise it was the exact same outfit...."Are you kidding me, OH MY GOD" twins? Yep, the doctor said we are having identical twin girls (which runs in Zariahs family) due at the end of December around Mario's B-day! Wow, just wow...so we are ready to take another step in our journey of parenthood I wanted to share the news with the first person I thought of when I found out, my dad....I love and miss you.
